i need to learn how to code a script for a booking form on my website RE: coding scripts by absorbation on 03-03-2006 at 06:35 PM
Well, before you rush into web scripting you would need good html skills as they are the basics and without the basics, it would nearly be impossible. I have been coding html close to 9 months now and started scripting a month and a bit ago, when i was ready RE: coding scripts by DJKAL on 03-03-2006 at 07:21 PM
i have html skills RE: coding scripts by absorbation on 03-03-2006 at 07:25 PM I mean advance your skills e.g learn xhtml, css more tags and you didnt code MyBB (unless your surfi in secret ) and those are coding languages you can learn, but at the moment I do not think your up to it, you need more practice, my advice is do not rush your skills RE: coding scripts by DJKAL on 03-03-2006 at 07:28 PM
quote: i didnt say i did - i said i used MyBB i know some CSS xhtml i didnt like it seemed poinltess when using html RE: coding scripts by absorbation on 03-03-2006 at 07:36 PM

quote:XHTML isn't pointless: it's the replacement for HTML. It's more syntactally strict than HTML, which makes rendering it more consistent across browsers and platforms. RE: coding scripts by DJKAL on 03-03-2006 at 09:22 PM
when i looked at learning it i was going to do my website in it - but having already created my website and recoding it all (not really alot of work though!) seemed pointless - and so i didnt learn it. RE: coding scripts by RaceProUK on 03-04-2006 at 12:02 AM Start the new site with XHTML, then you won't have to waste time converting. RE: coding scripts by msnDeamon on 03-04-2006 at 12:06 AM I cant code myself, but this site seems to have a lot of stuff for that: http://www.w3schools.com/html/ RE: coding scripts by RaceProUK on 03-04-2006 at 12:09 AM
quote:http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/: XHTML is better, and will work even in older browsers. RE: coding scripts by msnDeamon on 03-04-2006 at 12:10 AM Ah ... then i learnt something new again today ... thanks RE: coding scripts by -dt- on 03-04-2006 at 03:38 AM
