I thought this might be useful for some people as it has been requested before.
- Add BOT2K3 (maven@bot2k3.com)
- Open a conversation and write !addnote
- Draw your image and send it
- Type !exit to finish saving
- Type !notes to view your notepad
- "To view a note, type "!shownote <id>". To remove one, type "!removenote <id>". If you want to add a note, type "!addnote" and just type, draw, or speak (hold F2 while speaking)."
- To paste your ink message into a conversation, open one up with a contact and drag your ink message from the BOT2K3 window to your contacts handwriting box
[/list]
You can only save up to 500 KBs and I don't know how reliable it is, but it may come in handy

Or if you want to save every sent ink message, you can try
Auto Save Handwriting
ReadMe
It seems there was a thread about it here but it no longer exists.
Or to create ink messages for later sending: New tool: Ink Creator
