hello i'm making a theard about what people on this fourm play i play lead guitar i have a gibson SG and a Ashton A1. I have been playing guitar for about 3 years now

so what instrument do you play???

I dunno if it classes as an instrument.  But I've been spending time learning a bit more about mixing.  I want some pioneer CDJs so I can mix up

BTW I play hiphop

erm... i dont technically play any instruments.... i've got an electric guitar and keyboard though...

Guitar!!! I've been a guitar player for about 7 years now. I even got a guitar collar

I've got a Ibanez Talman (Electric guitar) and a Crafter GAE-8/SP, a black one (Electro acoustic). I'm going to buy a Gibson Les Paul very soon

I used to play piano... Haven't done that in ages though

Played the piano since i was 6, played trumpet since i was 11, and played guitar since i was 11. I'm also learning how to play the organ at the moment, its similar to the piano, but there are lots of differences.

I play oboe, any type of saxophone, and I started to learn clarinet... but kinda abondoned it for now... But I hope to learn almost every one.

I play the piano. And I do enjoy playing it

I started playing Spanish/Classical/Acoustic guitar when I was 6...

Got my first electric when I was 9. I was playing up until midway through year 10, and then I just stopped. Hardly ever play it now.

Well I use to know how to play the recorder when I was in
Infant School, but completely forgot that. Always wanted to learn the guitar though, or electric.

I've been playing guitar, drums and bass guitar for about 5 years now.
I've got a Gibson SG Supreme, fireburst colour (which i love ) and a basic Pearl drum kit.

Chris, is the recorder even a real instrument .

None, i am musically retarded...

I would have liked to have one but i dont. I always wanted to learn the piano and guitar but i never got a chance

My main instruments are guitar (Classical guitar which is needing restrung is behind the acoustic)


and voice(as some people here already know ). I've never taken the guitar seriously though. It's just something that I do in my spare time and recently I've taken to chording an artists songs (Currently six) and soon going to suggest the idea of a song book to those responible for merchandise as a few of us in the community think that it will sell well. Failing that, I'm going down the unofficial route The only other instrument I play, again not seriously is the keyboard. I only play that when I need to record midi files.

I play the piano, saxophone and guitar, I do grade for the first two, but guitar is just for fun, I'm not particularly good. Unfortunately my time management isn't good and I havn't got much practice done at all of anything

yes.... haha... For our musical this year (The Wizard of Oz)... the musical score called for a recorder.... but of course... nobody plays the recorder... lol... so we just had a flute play it.

lol... how can you get an A-... here it's near impossible not to get 100 percent... if you show up to all your performances.... and your lessons (1 per week during the school day).... and hand in any parent letters or anything.... you get an easy A+... oh... and she gives out extra credit if you help her out with other things musical related or anything... so it's really easy to get 120+ percent.

I also play guits, piano, and I know how to mix music! I think knowing how to mix right is a must have technical skill that requires tons of time and dedication.
If I were to list my equipment the list will become so enormous that you'll be bored lookin at it..

I play didgeridoo (30000 year old authentic Australian Aboriginal wood instrument) and the didgeribone or slideridoo (hybrid didge which is a crossing between a trombone and didgeridoo invented by Charlie McMahon (who has a mechanical arm and a hook as hand btw)).

And currently I'm in persuit to find a Theremin (very rare electronical instrument from the 20's to 60's).

Yep.... Once you know how to do it, it is very easy (it is also cool for bets like: I bet I can blow thru a straw in a glas of water and blow bubbles much longer than anybody on this forum )

Circular bearthing isn't really needed to play the didge though. You can still play nice rithems without the need of circular beathing.

The Aboriginal culture is more than 30000-40000 years old. The didg is possibly the world's oldest musical instrument.

I play trumpet, and a little bit of drums.

It seems to me that many ppl around here play one or more instrument.
Here is a deal, what if everyone will record a little sample in A minor scale and I would mix 'em all and at the end we will end up with some musical piece ...or perhaps masterpiece.... ..you name it..
If you are in, please attach zipped/rared .wav file, 16 or preferably 24 bit or better 32 bit float bit rate and 44kHz sample rate.

Here are few tips if you are not familiar with computer recording:
If you're using instrument that has a line out (such as electro guitar) just plug the cable into "Line In" of your soundcard. Then make sure that you are able to record from the "Line In". Unless you are using a professional soundcard which disables windows volume controls, you can do it by going to <Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices->"Audio"tab->Volume->Options->Properties->Recording->and finally select "Line In" as a control>
Next thing you need to do is to install a wave editing program unless you don't have one already. My favorites are Steinberg Nuendo, Soundforge 8 (you can have a free trial for 30 days), Samplitude, Wavelab etc etc....

Please make sure your recording is as accurate as possible, it doesn't matter to me if you are a lil offtime bc I can fix it, just make sure you don't have overlaped notes, mistakes or such things.
Now I don't really care what speed you play but it's better if we all use 120 bpm (beats per minute). You may use metronome which comes with many wave editing applications to 120 bpm, in fact you should bc it's impossible to play at the same speed without a reference.

Genre: hmm.. I don't care about genre as long as you stay in A minor.

Strongly avoid digital clipping and leave a headroom of -6 db.

Just one more thing, please attach single instrument sample, no drums in the background no pads etc.. (leave that to me)

Who knows maybe it will become a new Plus! song, it all depends from you !

I have played the piano for just less than 2 years, the clarinet at school for 3 years, the recorder for 3 years (prior to playing the clarinet, and now I can't play it).

I can play a bit of piano, I used to play guitar (first acoustic, then electric), did some singing too and now I play drumcomputers and synthesizers (not the keyboard-shaped stuff though, almost only knobs and switches)

I play this program...

I wanted a real one, but no $$$ + no so much experience. So I just "play" with that program that is good.

On the school, when I was 8-9 years-old, there was Music classes with flute, but I never had talent for it...

I play the clarinet (Grade 4), the oboe (Grade 3), the treble recorder (Grade 7) and the piano (Grade 4).

I mainly play bass guitar (Musicman Stingray) and sometimes when I feel like it I dare to play my mates electric guitar.
