This doesn't have much to do with Plus! Live. More of a recommendation for anyone like myself getting a little bored with Windows Live Messenger Beta.

As a beta user, I have to say as good as Windows Live Messenger is compared to MSN Messenger, it's still almost as boring. By now, I assume many people have used or seen the new Windows Live Messenger (WLM) and seen or heard of it's new features. When it was first released as a beta, it was bulky and many people I know didn't like it much. With the new release of WLM, it's nearly gone back to the now standard appearance, but keeping it's new features as well (minus at least one that I can think of).

Of course we all know Plus! Live is still under development, however there's still an option to give your WLM a bit more for it's buck.

If you visit http://apatch.ikhost.com/ you will find exactly what it says. A patch that has already been created for WLM, as well as MSN if you still have that (You can use Plus! and this patch together, it still adds more features).

The features on WLM's A-Patch is limiting compared to MSN's, but still offers quite a few. For example, you can use polygamy, set up to show when contacts are Idle, remove links on the login screen, and more.

I don't know how many people knew about this already, so I figured I'd introduce or REintroduce it. It's pretty useful if you're tired of waiting for Plus! Live to come out officially. Personally, I've been checking their site set for Plus! Live on a few occasions before reading the official statement.

Personaly, I prefer Mess Patch

i have to aggree, mess patch kicks ass and is what ive already used, but apatch is also very good and ahmad is awesome at keeping it up to date quick, just my liking is with mess right now

Eh ... I'll stick with A-Patch ... First one I've used and I don't have any reason to use a different one.

I think both A-Patch and Mess Patch are good patches Its annoying though becuase whenever i install them i obtain problems with Live Messenger , but they are both very highly rated patches

A-Patch is pretty good but when I install it for WLM (before mess patch for wlm was released) I get serious bugs and I lost all my messenger datas and some functions in the A-Patch just don't work (Unlimited nudge,etc) but with Mess Patch I never get bugs

On another note to bug errors, does anyone have the beta of Internet Explorer 7? I have it and each time I open my email from the WLM button, it crashes my WLM as the email loads. Though, I'm not too sure if it's IE7 or using Windows Live Mail...but after I close IE7, the whole computer seems to be running slower. And uninstalling IE7 is apparently not an option, so...yea. Just curious if others have noticed anything.
