I havnt got the lastest beta version of WLM still have 566.  The patch sounds interesting but It prob wont work with the version I have

windows live messenger will be crashed when it was cracked by a-patch with polygamy enabled

why some of the funtions in the final page were disabled (in grey color)? Is it still in development?

remove [Nudge delay] will cause wlm crashed on my windows server 2003 enterprise (en).

Move "Add contact" up, besides other icons (email, folders, spaces, etc)

Though someone help me with something. Unless I missed it by going thru the options too quickly, or maybe it's not worded obviously, wasn't there an option to remove billing menus?

There was this option in 7.5 below A-Patches im not sure about past this, but he has said expect more features in upcoming builds so yer

Doesn't work for me... After I patch it won't open... just one of them boxes where it asks you to "send"/"don't send" the report for what went wrong... haha... I tried restoring backups... and then repatching... made sure in task manager there wasn't anything open... Dunno what went wrong.

I've saw some functions that make Messenger bug (As UTI mentionned)
Those are:
Remove Billing Options
Remove Nudge Delay & Remove Windows Shaking Nudge

Two of them that I used... bah... I'm too lazy to patch it now... i'll wait till it's fixed or until MP!L comes out.

oops..something strange happened after applying A-Patch:

Open a conv window of some1 who cant recieve handwritten msgs (such as Web2Messenger Bot). Click on the Handwritten tab.
here, after clicking there, I can't click anywhere (in the windows)
everywhere I put the mouse, the brush is there...i can paint all the window and cant click anything

sum1 confirm it, please...is this bug from WLM or cuz of A-patch??

to know that, restore backups with A-Patch and retry.

@Ahmad : the nudge function problem was there since 7.5 when I used A-Patch (Even when I restore functions, and there was a time that I had to format my pc for another reason and after I installed a new build and used A-Patch, still getting the same problem with remove nudge delays/window shaking). And then, it had the same problem in A-patch for WLM. It had never been fixed or something

The bug I posted 2 post above is from A-Patch:
in an original WLM, when clicking on ink tab with sum1 who cant receive ink msgs you get a warning and the tab is not opened.
after "a-patching" you get the warning but the tab opens and you get kinda blocked..you can close the window just pressing ALT+F4....

a-patch is a clean patch cool as well hope theres many more cusomization settings to come in the future

Windows Live Messenger refused to launch after patching (clean WLM version, I'm sure), so I'm waiting the mess patch

I like the adding and moving about buttons features in Mess Patch, which unfortunatley a-patch doesn't have

(i'm talking about adding a preferences and add contact button into the dashboard on the contact list, and an email and Recieved Downloads button on the conversation window)

oh and the different colour dashboard thing is also very nice change.

However i really like a-patch's lightweight download and simple interface, also the shorten contact status's feature in a patch is very nice (which thankfully i can still apply after patching with mess.be)

if apatch could add these features (and switching artist and song over in PSM music feature to work with itunes) i'd gladly completely switch back (i used to only use apatch but then the mess patch added those above features)

This isn't my name... NOR do I care... I just thought I'd let you know about a smaaaaaaaaall bug I found the fastest way I could

On the Contact List part of the patch, the remove toast logo/title options... the descriptions are switched around the wrong way =(

Not a big deal, just letting you know.

Also... add a reverse title - artist option to artist - title.



title - artist for song playing LOOKS STUPID, and that's one feature I like about MessPatch, I'd be happy if you include an option that changes it to

artist - title

Just installed 8.1 and tried A-Patch, like I always do, but this time it won't let me remove the buttons from my contactlist, the "Open e-mail inbox", "Go to your space" and "Send a message to a mobile device" can't be removed...

Pulling an "all nighter" I'm 7 hours past my bedtime with a sore back, but I made it, A-Patch has been updated for Windows Live Messenger 8.5!

With a new (beta) version of Windows Live Messenger (8.5) comes a new and improved A-Patch. A-Patch makes patching Messenger easier than ever before. Not only are there tonnes of options to choose from, but now there's a (rough) Preview which lets you see the changes as you select them! (A change log will be added once I've come back from work and caught up on some sleep.)

Nice job on the 8.5 patch and the preview feature is useful - but I think I'll stick with WLM 8.1.0178 for the time being...
