IE7 Crashing by NiteMare on 04-22-2006 at 01:28 AM

OK, my ie7 keeps crashing, i know exactly how to reproduce it on my PC, but my buig report was closed due to "not reproduceable", i guess i need more info

i need to know, is there anything special about the pop up window that opens for:
-the shoutbox
-reporting posts
-giving/changing reps

when ever i close one of those(and not just from this site), IE7 crashes, and then the window that lets you send error data to microsoft, also crashes, then doesn't actualy close IE just remains frozen

please help

The things you specified are all using popups (with JS, probably) -- Maybe it's something in the code.

yeah, i know its pop ups, i don't mean to be rule, but again, this is all stuf i've stated already, i'm looking for code snipits that might be affecting it
RE: IE7 Crashing by Hank on 04-22-2006 at 03:56 AM

why they cant reproduce the Bug is that they have the newer Build, i dont think the public has it now an the Bug is infact fixed in the newer build . thats prolly why they cant repro it

First up, there's no Java at msghelp.net.

Something special is that the popups are named, so that the javascript can refer to the same popup later, and modify it. The Popup can manipulate the page which created it as well, which I thought wasn't meant to be able to be done, unless it's the parent page which keeps checking the child, and then acts based on the status of the child.
