ok im like a freak with my phone now, i wasnt able to send/receive pic messages but today i got one because i did some tweakin to it, but im not able to send pic messages, does anyone knows where i can get or see the right settings? im on Motorola v80, provider: T-Mobile. i been looking on googl elike crazy and had no luck :(

this is UK and when it asked for my # it said it wasnt right since i have US #. and tmobile US doesnt support the V80.

ok this is wat my phone settings look like and i need help on hwere all this goes. i created this connection and stuff on bold is stuff i added that was supposed to work, i havent try the things rav0 suggested  i just need  directions on where to put it :) and wat to leave blank. thanks :)

I see that you've got a different APN entered to the one I gave you (wap.voicestream.com instead of internet2.voicestream.com). Are you on prepaid?

Anyway, these are different settings, and I've named then to match the settings on your phone.

  • Service Type 1: WAP (What options do you have here?)
  • Gateway IP 1: 216.155.165.50
  • Port 1: 8080
  • Domain 1: wap.voicestream.com (leave blank and see if it works first, I'm unsure of this)
  • DNS 1: 216.155.175.40
  • DNS 2: 216.155.175.41
  • GPRS APN: wap.voicestream.com

If T-Mobile supports a similar model to yours, you could just say that you have that phone, and have them send you the settings.

If you have them send you settings, first rename the settings that you have already (put ME at the end of the name or something), that way, you know which came from where.

i have post paid service. and on service type i have
WAP

Try these then

  • Service Type 1: HTTP (You can try secure but it might not work. I doubt anybody's eavesdropping on GPRS anyway.)
  • Gateway IP 1: 216.155.175.188
  • Port 1: 8080
  • Domain 1: internet2.voicestream.com (leave blank and see if it works first, I'm unsure of this)
  • DNS 1: 216.155.175.105
  • DNS 2: 216.155.175.106
  • GPRS APN: internet2.voicestream.com

Is GPRS enabled on your account? Optus (Australia) wont let GPRS function until you call them and ask for activation.

yes it is, the GPRS icon is always on my screen.
i requested the setting for a V600 which is very close to the V80 but never receive their message :(
