how did it get hacked?
RE: I GOT HACKED ! MY MSN! ARjkgfjkashrkjash! by John Anderton on 04-28-2006 at 06:53 PM
Isnt there a msn page where you can report hacking (if indeed thats the case) (btw my definition of email hacking is stealing/changing someones password to gain control of their account)
All you need to prove is that the account is yours .... say what mail you had, contacts and such stuff .... calvin's account got hacked some time back .... i guess he'd know
RE: I GOT HACKED ! MY MSN! ARjkgfjkashrkjash! by Zahid™ on 04-28-2006 at 06:53 PM
If you still know your password go here: https://accountservices.msn.com/uiChangePW.srf?lc=1033&id=9 and change it. And Patchou is not the only one who helps here.

Goto Tools > Options > Connections > Advanced Settings
Make sure everything you see is the same as this.
It would also helped if you provided us the error message you get when you try to sign in.

okay thx guy, can you tell me where you found out those things? I sent an email to Microsoft earlier via e-mail and the person replied
''This is an unmonitored mailbox.''
I've send an e-mail to Microsoft via the ''Contact Us'' link...and my ticket number is : 1013207697
should I send another e-mail with the information zacher1988 gave me, or wait until they reply this one first?
RE: I got hacked! My MSN! by zaher1988 on 04-28-2006 at 10:07 PM
post a ticket from here
first option select I forgot my password
sec option select other
in the message add your description, and then the thing i have posted along to their correct answers.
i have used this way lots and lots of times it is the best for a dead chance, if you didn't have an alternate email option or u dont remember the secret answer ...
regards

They shouldn't... chances are is that you'll get two different MSN employees answering your emails... so you shouldn't have to worry.
RE: I got hacked! My MSN! by XVNTF on 04-28-2006 at 10:53 PM

RE: I got hacked! My MSN! by GioSoul on 04-28-2006 at 11:09 PM
If you have an alternative e-mail address signed on Options of your Hotmail account, you would recover your password using it...
Try to access in your e-mail account by hotmail site, and follow the instructions...
RE: I got hacked! My MSN! by XVNTF on 04-28-2006 at 11:17 PM

This response was generated based on the options you selected on the support Web form. Â If this response does not resolve the problem
you are experiencing, please reply to this message.
Â
You can reset a forgotten password by requesting the Microsoft Passport Network to send a password reset e-mail to your alternate e-mail
address (An e-mail address that is different from your primary Hotmail or MSN e-mail address). Â You must have provided your alternate e-mail
address in your Passport profile prior to forgetting your password. Â You cannot specify which alternate address to send to during this process.
1. Click Sign In at a site or service that displays the Passport Network Sign-In logo, such as the Microsoft Passport Network home page at: https://accountservices.passport.net/ppnetworkhome.srf Â
2. Type your e-mail address, if it is not entered automatically. Â
3. In the sign-in box, click Forgot your password? Â
4. Enter the characters shown in the picture, and then click Continue. Â
Note: If you are not able to read the characters in the picture, you may click on the speaker icon to hear the audio version of the HIP challenge.
You may also click the refresh button (two blue arrows circling each other) to load a new picture.
Make sure to type the number of characters the sentence below the picture tells you are in the picture.
5. On the Reset your password page, click Send yourself a password reset e-mail message. Â (If you only have the option to reset your password via
e-mail you will not see this page).
6. On the Reset your password by e-mail page, click Send Message, and then click Done.
Note: You may also see the option "Send an e-mail to my alternate e-mail address"  If you see this option, select it and then click "Send Message".
Note: -The password reset e-mail message will contain instructions and a link to the Account Services home page to help you reset your password.
Follow the instructions in the e-mail to complete the password reset process.

That;s why i always mention to select Other for the option , dont specify, because if you specify an automated message will be sent.
For now you can reply, explaining that you dont have an alternate email, neither you can ;t remember ur secret answer, and ask them to investigate using the info i have told you.
dont worry about the period of respond, usually in the best cases you have to wait 24 hours

Logs everything you type. e.g. a virus would do it for your credit deatils if you entered them. Regular virus scanning would pick up on them.
RE: I got hacked! My MSN! by Voldemort on 05-05-2006 at 04:32 PM
A little program that registers every key you type, and then sends the log to an email or uploads it somewhere...
