Would anyone by chance know of any freeware software that compress MP3 files but would be able to listen to the file without quality loss? Thanks a lot. luv yall…!

MP3s are already compressed. You can't compress them further. You could lower the bitrate, but that would be lowering the quality.

i can never hear the difference between 320kb/s and 96kb/s so i don't think that encoding them to a 128/96kb s wud really make a difference

I find that I stop hearing the difference after about 192kbps. However, you should encode them using a high quality VBR setting, that way you get the best of both worlds.
