Last nights final was very dodgy. I liked both teams but i knew Barca would win despite the fact that Arsenal's win would be a dream win (even without the sending off) but wtf was the refree, a barca player ?
How can you have such aweful refering in a match .... Congrats to Barca. I knew they'd win once they scored the first one which was only a matter of time. RE: Champions League Final - Paris 2006 by Weyzza on 05-18-2006 at 07:09 AM
I agree with you (most of the points ) RE: Champions League Final - Paris 2006 by Plik on 05-18-2006 at 07:22 AM
I agree with all your points JA RE: Champions League Final - Paris 2006 by Reaper on 05-18-2006 at 12:30 PM
The match was good, but the referee was a total arse. Arsenal had the game sorted, even with 10 men, they played extremely well. When Henry had an short interview with Sky Sports, his said that he was constantly getting hurt, Motta and Puyol attacking his ankles and his knees, but the referee didn't do anything. tbh who cares sometimes i get sick of watching the showponies diving around getting hurt and having a cry RE: Champions League Final - Paris 2006 by varun on 05-19-2006 at 10:12 AM
gerrard is the best!! simply awesome in both CL & FA Cup finals... RE: Champions League Final - Paris 2006 by John Anderton on 05-19-2006 at 10:49 AM
Nah varun, eto'o was on side quote:Meh .... Barca did play well tho. Arsenal did too. Hendrik Larson made 2 awesome passes as i said .... quote: Barca deserved it i guess but i just feel that it could have been a better match if he had just given the goal + yellow or only the goal. I agree the rules state he cant wait to decide for the advantage play but it was clear guily would tap it in. No one was there to block his shot or tackle him. The red was fair tho. Thats what the rules state. Even if the goalkeeper touches the ball outside the box, the goal keeper gets a straight unconditional red according to the Champions League rule .... still quote:Ok Lehmann was sent off but Arsenal still played well They perfectly exploited Barca. The lobs in the 6 yard box have troubled barca for the past 2 or so years. They knew it and they exploited it But still i believe if Puyol and Maques were given yellows it would be a lot more difficult for them to mark Henry that tightly .... mabbe Henry would slip one past them .... That would sure have killed Barca off ... 2-0 down to a 10 man squad would kill off their morals EDIT: I loved the last interview that Henry gave RE: Champions League Final - Paris 2006 by Reaper on 05-19-2006 at 10:54 AM
JA, the interview with Sky Sports? RE: Champions League Final - Paris 2006 by John Anderton on 05-19-2006 at 10:59 AM
quote:Yeah they showed it here on ESPN. Just before they went off air. Just so i know we are talking of the same interview, im talking of the one given on the pitch just before the final ceremony and after the final wistle. The one where that lady comes in the end and takes henry to the prize ceremony and when he was talking he was like looking back and saying .... ".... hmmm i dont know .... i didnt see ronaldinho .... you keep talking of him ... all i saw was hendrik larson .... he made 2 cruical passes for the 2 goals. he was the key in this match ... " RE: Champions League Final - Paris 2006 by Reaper on 05-19-2006 at 11:02 AM
quote:Yup, thats the one. |
