[font=Verdana] Since I downloaded Messenger Plus, my computer will just shut down any old time, or else the mouse freezes up.  Then after I have shut down and rebooted, my Messenger Plus is always gone, and I need to go the site to download it again.  It is very frustrating  to say the least!!  I have changed the Automatic Recovery system to Alternate Mode....still happens, tried default mode-forced....still happens.  What to do????

Plus! should still be installed: check for the folder in Program Files. As for the crashing, check nothing else is destabilising the system.

Did you only install Plus!?... I think that maybe you installed something else onto your computer that would make it crash like that... Messenger Plus! definately shouldn't make you're computer do that.

Messenger Plus isnt listed anywhere in my program files either!  But I am online right now and using it....how does that work?  But if I shut the computer off and turned it back on, I would have to reload it again!!! 

Weird... try reinstalling Messenger Plus!... and then restart your computer.... see if it still works. Make sure you install in from www.msgplus.net- the official source also....

it being removed everytime could be because u installed it on a limited acount or something (like at school where if u get infinite viruses on a pc, rebooting cleans everything )

i have installed it from the proper site, i am installing it at home, without restrictions.  we have it on our other computer and its no problem....in fact when we first had it on this computer, it was always there when we would restart the computer.  so i dunno......

now just this morning when i had to reinstall the program again, it said at the end that i need to reboot to install the new program.  no plus there!! like whats going on??  if i reboot, i just have to reload it again.....this is insane!!

Go to Start > Search > search for MsgPlus.exe

Once your computer has found that, take note of the folder it is in and tell me. However, if it's not found, I can't see how Messenger Plus! can possible be installed on your system.

If it says it's in C:\Program Files\MessengerPlus! 3\ ... then it must be there. Go to Tools > Folder Options > View > Tick Show hidden files and folders, but I can't see any reason why it would be hidden.

Ok, I just started up the computer....no MSN again, so I did what Chris said, and did a search for msg.exe, and yup its like you said its in C:\Program Files\MessengerPlus! 3  ......  so whats going on?  Why do I have to reinstall it every time then?  I am soooo confused

Ok, here is the issue every timeyou open the computer your MSN And Plus disappear there is one thing which makes them disappear its a Security Program called PC Shadow its usually used in our school to prevent student from installing any software if they installed when they restart the PC the Programs will disappear so try to find a way that you can disable this shit in

I dont think thats the problem.  We have never installed anything like that....plus this never used to happen until recently and we have had Messenger Plus for awhile already, with no glitches whatsoever.  Its just been happening in the last month.
