my friend wants a short 15 line poem on the topic Humour. is there anyone here who writes poems and stuff and will be able to help me out a bit?

Yesterday,
All those backups seemed a waste of pay.
Now my source files have all gone away.
Oh I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly,
There's not half the files there used to be,
And there's a milestone hanging over me.
The system crashed so suddenly.

I pushed something wrong
What it was I could not say.
Now all my data's gone
and I long for yesterday-ay-ay-ay.

Yesterday,
The need for back-ups seemed so far away.
I knew my data was all here to stay,
Now I believe in yesterday.

Why should humor be a part of my life?
It helps me survive the trials and strife.
Those good heart-felt laughs and warm easy smiles,
Can very much ease the long dreary miles.
The road we travel with this illness is rough,
Sometimes it's all we can do to hang tough.
Too often it seems that life is not fair,
But humor can serve to help clear the air.
Just for a moment our load can seem lighter.
Just for a moment our day can seem brighter.
Why should humor be a part of my life?
It helps me survive the trials and strife.

Humour is a feeling that we all know
And we hold this feeling closely because this feeling is gold
When we are sad – a friend cheers us up, by pulling a face or telling a joke

So many things going on in the world – hearing laughter makes you think – “things could be worse”

Humour is feeling that’s hard to dismiss

thanks Mentality for the poem and your effort, i would definitely approve.
zach, i dont need that poem, a friend of mine does. i wish teachers at school understood students problem...writing poetry is definitly not everyones cup of tea.

........And definatly not easy - teachers have to high expectiations and push alot of things onto students that really they would never use in the real world - unless it was something they have a genuine interest in, when would I NEED or WANT to write a poem when I leave school - I can but rarley do. Either way no one can really teach you how to do it, because no matter how you do it, it will always be right to you.

that my two cents worth

I have been asked my my teacher to write a poem, and mine is long over due. Let me paste mine in..... There once was a frog named sam.
               Who sat on his favorite rock named pam
                 He sat on pam, all night and day.
                Until one evil mouse named hector came.


        Hector eyed with delight.
        He noticed same daisy in his sight.
        Oh so slowly hector crept.
        Before sam could say “THEFT”

        Hector now firmly held the daisy in his hand.
        And he noticed the frog coming to and getting mad.
        “help help” was what the shocked and alarmed frog had said,
        And he noticed blood dripping from his head.

        10 frogs popped out with out warning.
        Slowly hector thought “jeez it’s only morning”
        Oh boy did that mouse run,
        He ran till his legs felt numb.

        Eventually the frogs caught up.
        And when they did the mice were tough.
        Hector had alerted his mice too.
        After all, he didn’t wanna die so soon.

         40 days and 40 nights was this bout..
        And after all that, only the frog and the mouse remember what this fight was about.
•        Dead on both sides, they fought harsher than the sun.
        Can I ask you, who do you think won?


        Such a war cannot be won.       
        Only lost and never forgotten.
        Hope you learned not to fight.
        But instead walk away and say “all right”.
