Okay, i want to partition my HDD so i can put Vista on a seperate partition to XP.

Can someone please direct me to a good programe (and tell me how to use it).

Also will i be able too choose which i use on startup?

PS: i have allready searched google and download.com and searched these forums.

Norton Partition Magic 8, is excelent and very easy to use, excelent graphics, etc :D

yes, because boot.ini changes when you install vista :)

free partition manager maybe it can help you...

as long as you are using windows xp for starters, then partition your harddrive, install vista on the second partition. about the boot.ini, you'll realize there isnt one in vista, so its a little tricky going into vista and configuring the dual boot, its dooable though. When i started my computer it would ask if i wanted to start "Microsoft Windows" or "Microsoft Windows XP". believe it or not the windows xp one was vista, and the microsoft windows was the xp OS.

Vista has a DOS utility to help you mess around with the new boot.ini files
