I apologize for contributing to the great amount of threads that get created over the release of WLM and MsgPlus! Live, but  I could not find this problem adressed in the precious 5 pages of threads.

I used to have sounds playing when contacts changed their screennames and when they went offline. However, I do not get these notifications anymore since I installed WLM and Plus. I do know where to set this option, but I would like to use the sound files which were used by MsgPlus in the previous version.

Where can I get find these sound files?

I think they are gone, becuase i had my sounds and now i can not find them.

So I was hoping maybe there is a online resource where I can download them. Or perhaps they are stored on the pc but I don't know where?

they would not be stored on your pc i dont think. Becuase you downloaded Windows live Messenger then Messenger Plus! live so it has scraped the files it didn't need.
