I've downloaded Plus 4 n I have installed it, but it seems like I haven't installed it.. Doesn't appear a option "Plus" pn WLM,Doesn't show any error on natlationor when I open the WLM...

Can you please check in your "add or remove programs menu" to see if Messenger Plus! Live is installed. To get there press the start menu, click control panel and double click on"add or remove programs", then look in the rather long list for Messenger Plus! Live.

If you have it in the list that means it was installed. Uninstall it from there and then download Messenger Plus! Live from http://www.msgpluslive.net/download/

If you don't see it in the list that means that something went wrong in the installation or you canceled it during installation. Please download it from the offical site and tell me your result.

EDIT: Be sure to have the latest WLM installed on your computer, it should be build 787. You can check by opening your contact list, clicking help and then "About Messenger"

I've already uninstalled and installed 4 times.. But it's still not working...

Do you have Plus! 3.63 installed as well?

I have this same problem..... i am running the latest build, Messenger Plus appears in the uninstall menu but has not been installed into windows live messenger, i have tried uninstalling MsgPlus and msn messenger live a couple of times and once i even deleted their registry and app data files... still not working

First I tried just w Plus 4. Did'nt work.
Then I installed 3.63.
Just w 3.63 had the option Plus on WLM. But I hadn't acess for his options beacuse is for other version..
Then, I installed Plus 4... the instalation ended without problem, and opened the WLM. But the messenger didn't had the Plus option anymore..

I think you need to have both of them installed, although I'm not sure if I'm correct with that statement.  I have both installed and Plus! Live hooks correctly with WLM.

No, you dont need to have both installed.... can you restart after installing again?

I reestarted my computer after instal it again..
But nothing happen..

When MP!L is running normally and the plus! tab does appear on the WLM Window there should be a process running called MPtools.exe

In our case MPtools.exe isn't running so therefore Plus! is not running along with WLM!!!

What should i do??

In folder "Messenger Plus", just have 3 "*.exe" files: Log Viewer, MPTools and Uninstall. I guess that there should have another file, like Plus.exe (i.e.), am I wrong???

I've tried everything that evertone said to do...

I am having the same problem too. I have installed it from the proper site, followed all the instructions, and the plus menu bar simply says "software not loaded", which when clicked on says that an error occured while plus was loading.

Any further ideas anyone?

This is a file if you ever had smiley central, if you still currently have smiley central on un-install it.

the only way that i could use Plus! on WLM was to use a different windows account (not the one you were using)

I didn't get it...

What happens if it doesn't allow me to delete this file?  I get an error message telling me that it cannot be deleted that it is write protected.

I had the previous version of Messenger Plus installed before, which is where I think this comes from. Its ignoring my Messenger Plus live installation though, so I think we have the same issue...

i don't know how similar my problem is to any of yours...but i'm suffering from this problem and its driving me mad, that i'm more likely to throw out every single swear word i can think of at MSN and Messenger Plus with a gentle push.
Ok, here's my annoying problem: i've downloaded the NEWEST (according to the site) Messenger Plus  and WLM. HOWEVER, theres the 'plus' tab, but annoyingly,  it says it is NOT compatible. I've deleted everything and reinstalled it, and i'm really getting fed up with it, so is there anyway which this annoying thingy can be fixed without having me being hateful towards Messenger Plus and MSN, cuz to be honest, i'm beginning to hate this new msn.
The problem doesn't stop here. My sister claims that it is starting file shares of Messenger Plus with her in WLM. It sounds dangerous to me and is black naming me. So IS there a way to fix this annoying bug? and i'm more desperate to get rid of it and get it fixed than ever...cuz i'm gonna be away for a month.

Hey, I have the same problem as the first poster.

I have 2 users on my computer (WINDOWS USERS, NOT MESSENGER USERS).... I installed PLUS under my username (btw I have admin privileges) and the PLUS Menu doesn't even appear in my messenger window....(you know, next to HELP)..

But if I switch to the other user on the computer, PLUS is installed and working fine!!!

I tried everything already... uninstall messenger, plus, clean the registry. everything!!! I even copied the registry keys from the other user to my user.

Still can't see the PLUS menu!.

Im going crazy.... please help!!!!

I have the latest of both messenger and plus    792 and 235.

as you can see in one account works, in another it doesnt!

Unistall it off the non-administrator account and install it again on the administrator account. See if that works, post back about what happens.

I've already done that..

But.. still not workin..

and in 1 its worked, and another dont work!

The first thing you should do when you want to get support is (after you've searched the forums of course):

- Provide a detailed explanation of what is wrong with your situation.

Simply saying, "yeah I have that problem too" and the likes will not help at all!!! In fact I have seen more posts here like that than anything else. And I'm very certain that people aren't even talking about the same problem at all seeing their further posts, let alone that they are talking about the same versions of software.

- Provide the complete version number of Messenger, and the complete version number Messenger Plus! you (are trying to) use

Many posts here in this thread are all about different versions and what not. So again, stating: "yeah, I have that problem too" is actually most likely wrong for you.

- Provide a list of every other Messenger related software you have on your computer.

Stuff like SmileyCentral, etc... also list the anti-virus software you're using.

- Provide a detailed explanation of what you already have tried and what the result was.

Only then people might have a chance helping you all out because currently this is pure chaos and nobody will benefit from it.

All the same configuration people? I can rule out NOD32 being the cause of the problem, I use it myself and I do not experience the problem you guys are experiencing.

msn 7.5 with old plus worked normally in all accounts.

but 8.0 with msgpluslive doesnt work in both accounts.

Yeah, NOD is ok, because its installed on all the other accounts.
