A person added me and offered me moderator status on these forums. His email address wasn't verified, so I knew it was a scam but I decided to play along. First he tried getting my password on the forums, then he tried to scam my paypal. Anyways watch out for him. RE: A very pathetic attempt at a scam... by kotjze on 07-08-2006 at 12:10 AM

Well if I have a few of you added to my account, we can catch this person out, and perhaps warn everybody out there on the internet about this person. RE: A very pathetic attempt at a scam... by Chrono on 07-08-2006 at 12:23 AM
aw i wonder if he'd contact me to be a moderator if i had my email address in my profile . RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by kotjze on 07-08-2006 at 12:28 AM
quote:The next person that gets added should say "no, I'm not interested, but [chrono's email] might be interested!" RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by J.J on 07-08-2006 at 12:46 AM
quote: Or just not even give him/her the satisfaction and not add him in the first place RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Curtis on 07-08-2006 at 02:07 AM Ohh I can't wait for this guy to try that on me. It's going to be sooo much fun! RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Felu on 07-08-2006 at 03:56 AM Even i was added by admin@msghelp.net and he tried a conversation with me but i was away at that time and then my UPS broke and i didnt had MP!L at that time so i just couldnt know what he said . But after that ive never seen him online . RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Mike on 07-08-2006 at 06:01 AM
Too bad I was sleeping when he added me... quote:Do you always have electricity problems there, and your UPS doesnt power your computer, or do you have a faulty UPS which stops giving power at random intervals? RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Felu on 07-08-2006 at 06:06 AM
quote:Yes, India has a lot of electricity problems . And my UPS is faulty and i need to buy a new one(maybe in a week) or get this one repaired. There are a lot of voltage fluctuations out here :/. RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Nathan on 07-08-2006 at 07:35 AM
But how the fuck did he get the "admin@msghelp.net" the subdomain is owned by patchou. So i reckon its one of the staff bored messing around RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Stigmata on 07-08-2006 at 07:39 AM

RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Hank on 07-08-2006 at 10:23 AM thats trrue but, surely they can get this person{s} by the time{s} RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Veggie on 07-08-2006 at 06:36 PM
he is up to it again: RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by kotjze on 07-08-2006 at 07:07 PM Funny how if you don't sound interested right away or if you ask him who he is he gets all "don't waste my time" or "i see you're not interested" and then blocks you :/ RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by vaccination on 07-08-2006 at 09:33 PM Probably so we don't get suspicious and note his ip. Yeah, I had that idea too, but was never added by that account and he didn't accept when I added him. RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Nathan on 07-09-2006 at 12:12 PM * Nathan goes to do it RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Menthix on 07-09-2006 at 12:19 PM
Meh, I don't think posting the login on public is a good idea. Everybody can have fun and login with that, so admins won't know which IP belongs to the scammer. RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Underlord on 07-09-2006 at 12:27 PM Why do you people think that he hasn't read this thread already?.... I think he's read this already too, but hey, it's worth a try... We've established who it is and have the IP address already. RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Nathan on 07-09-2006 at 12:42 PM Are you allowed to tell us? RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by surfichris on 07-09-2006 at 12:43 PM
Is there a need to know who it was/is? RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by emit on 07-09-2006 at 01:12 PM I wasn't thinking of catching out, fishy, more finding out what they would do once they had an account of another member. RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by vaccination on 07-09-2006 at 01:15 PM That's what i found interesting time, i would like to know what he/she planned to do once they had username and account. Who says the IP address is Indian? RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Voldemort on 07-11-2006 at 12:43 AM so where was the person from? Us? RE: Warning: admin@msghelp.net = scammer. by Menthix on 07-11-2006 at 07:38 AM I don't think Surfi is gonna tell us. It wouldn't help anyone telling that anyway, it can very well be a proxy and the actual scammer living somewhere else.
