Quicktext bug by jmccarroll on 07-09-2006 at 12:36 PM
I think this is a bug, I might just be doing something wrong though.
Windows XP Service Pack 2 (5.1.2600)
Windows Live Messenger 8.00.0792
Messenger Plus! Live 4.0.0.235
When entering a quicktext to change my i's to I's, I have stumbled across a problem. I know to surround whole words with #s so that's not the issue. I enter the quicktext as Text to replace: #i# and New text: I
The problem is it won't show up as a quicktext at the beginning of a message, but it will in the middle.
This works: "you wish i were" is changed to "you wish I were"
This doesn't work: "i wish" is sent as "i wish"
Hopefully I made this clear. If there is a fix that I've missed out there just post it and close this down.

This has been fixed for newer BETAs and will work in the next public release
