How rename contact ? by raphynounours on 07-12-2006 at 10:53 PM

Hello,

I'm Belgian. Excuse my english.

I'd like to rename my contacts. Before, I arrived with Messenger Plus!. Now, this function is not available with Messenger Plus! Live.

Thank you very much.

Good work Patchou !

The reason being is because WLM has this feature built in!
Just right click the contact you would like to rename and click rename and then enter then name. You can also do this by selecting it and pressing F2.
To restore the name back to normal rename it and put nothing in the box so its empty, and this will reset the name!

Welcome to the forums!

To expand on what Nathan said, this feature was taken out of Plus! Live because the feature exists in WLM.  Patchou has said that he may look into adding this feature back in future versions if WLM doesn't upgrade their nickname feature.

darn it... i was hoping to see it in Messenger Plus Live. i've been putting off the use of MsnLive because their Contact rename is soo inelegant!

someone go create a script for this!!! :D

either way... long live msnplus! (H)

You can also format the names using the standard Plus! formatting tags. The only thing you can't do at the moment is add tags like (!N).
