colour nick by zedison_c on 07-18-2006 at 08:31 AM

how do i create a tone of colour like from dark red tone down to light red.

RE: colour nick by Chris4 on 07-18-2006 at 08:48 AM

Go to Tools > Options

Firstly, clear the nickname box. Now, where you change your name, is a button saying 'Format Codes', click that, then click the 'T'ext button. Click 'Gradient text'. Now, click on two colours you want (dark red and light red)

It should look something like this:

[c=1][/c=2]

Now put your name inside the format codes, like so:

[c=1]MY NAME[/c=2]

Note: numbers 1 and 2 are only used as an example, this will be different depending on the colours you chose.

If you want maximum control over the exact shades of red used, use the HTML colour code syntax e.g. [c=#330000]Text[/c=#7a3030] will fade from a deep red to a more average shade.

PS: I use that gradient in my own display name, and my WLM nicknames.

How do u get the Says after your name to be in color too?

RE: colour nick by cloudhunter on 07-19-2006 at 05:01 PM

Well you can't have the name gradiated, however you can have the says coloured if you make your name like this.

[c=#330000]Text[/c=#7a3030][c=#7a3030]

put ·$4 after your nick
PS: 4(red) is a random number, just use the number for the color you want your "says" in...

EDIT: doesnt it work with the ·$ code too?

RE: colour nick by cloudhunter on 07-19-2006 at 05:07 PM

Yeah it will work with the ·$ code aswell :P... I just thought that as the gradient was being done it makes sense to use the BBCode style formatting ;)

won't work as the second colour tag isn't closed. What you need is:
[c=#330000]Text[/c=#7a3030]·$#7a3030
