Hi guys, RE: Mysterious Restarting problem by welshboy222 on 07-20-2006 at 06:52 AM
It sounds as if your computer has a fault contact the peepz who made your computer if they find nothing wrong with it then contact patchou or cookierevised. RE: Mysterious Restarting problem by vid_88 on 07-20-2006 at 06:58 AM I built my computer myself. It's worked fine for a long time, and I've done a format which should remove any corrupt files/whatnot. RE: Mysterious Restarting problem by welshboy222 on 07-20-2006 at 07:01 AM Alright but if the problems continue then you should contact patchou if WLM keeps playing up. vid_88, there are a few things you can check. Most prolly (about 99.99%) imo its a hardware problem so check if there is a prob with your ram. Just shut down your pc, remove your ram, just wipe it clean with a cloth and reconnect it (assuming you know how to do all this) RE: Mysterious Restarting problem by vid_88 on 07-20-2006 at 07:05 AM
I just went to uninstall Messenger Plus! Live from the Add/Remove programs list, and when I clicked uninstall the computer reset again. Ok I just ran MemTest and both modules (2x 512) came out 100% fine. I swapped the modules around and gave them a good clean. Restarted and was able to change status to "Away".. so we'll see what happens! Nope, same problem. Went to click on the Messenger Plus! Live preferenced and restarted again Ideas? Well i recently had a similar problem and it was a problem with a leaky capacitor on my motherboard. RE: Mysterious Restarting problem by RaceProUK on 07-20-2006 at 01:45 PM
quote:Don't triple post? What about this overheating thing? See if cleaning out all the dust and crap from inside the PC helps. Also, check vitals like drive connections, graphics card, update graphics drivers, update Windows, check motherboard for signs of damage, check processor heatsink is correctly installed, ensure processor fan is working, check PSU for problems... Check anything and everything if necessary. RE: Mysterious Restarting problem by vid_88 on 07-20-2006 at 01:47 PM
I'll do that in a tick but it's strange that it ONLY happens when I do something that involves Plus! ? RE: Mysterious Restarting problem by Kenji on 07-20-2006 at 01:49 PM you could also try running the pc without the side on, used to happen to me but i took it off and it was fine after RE: Mysterious Restarting problem by vid_88 on 07-20-2006 at 02:02 PM
I've just attached my 120mm exhaust fan so we'll see how that goes. It's winter where I am at the moment and the heater in my room is somewhat close to the box.. but doesn't seem too hot in there. RE: Mysterious Restarting problem by John Anderton on 07-20-2006 at 02:34 PM

Ok well with my second fan on it's sitting at about 52°C constant. The mobo is at 25°C... RE: Mysterious Restarting problem by John Anderton on 07-21-2006 at 12:53 PM
