I'm changing my forum from vBulletin to MyBB. I really want to avoid losing all of my database, so is there a tool to convert a vBulletin db into a Mybb db. I searched and found out that I had to use ImPex to convert to phpBB then convert to Mybb, but I find ImpEx too confusing.

Why don't you try the MyBB comunity forums? http://community.mybboard.net/ I think you have a better chance of finding what you're looking for there.
