A2/AS/GCSE results 2006 by saralk on 08-15-2006 at 10:37 AM

People doing AS and A2 in the UK get their results this Thursday.

6672 days, 51 minutes, 7 seconds ago

People doing GCSE get their results a week on Thursday.

6665 days, 51 minutes, 7 seconds ago

Post here any thoughts about your impending results. What you are taking, what you are expecting, what you are more worried about etc...

I getting my AS results for Computing, Business Studies, Chemisty and Physics. I am most worried about Business Studies because even though it is one of my strongest subjects, I did crap in the January module, and so I am worried that I'll do crap now.

I am predicted AABB

i would have done so much better if id taken them in year 10..... by year 11 you know all your teachers, you know how much u can get away with and just do no work >.< i forgot so much stuff i knew in year 10 by the end of year 11 :'(
RE: A2/AS/GCSE results 2006 by GiantSpider on 08-15-2006 at 12:20 PM

I'm predicted like something like two A's, and then the rest B's.

I allready have a C in German (last year) a D in Graphics (last year aswell (I didn't know you had to be able to draw)). I should also have 4 C's in ICT. Got my 240 points in Janurary & I was so far behind in everything else I gave it ip. :'( could have easily got a distincion (A's).

All in all if I pass everything (C & above pass) I will have 14, but I severely doubt I will, I know for a certain fact I will get a D in Statistics. But overall I will "pass", in the general sense, 15.

Argh, bricking it.

RE: A2/AS/GCSE results 2006 by Negro_Joe on 08-15-2006 at 01:27 PM

:O Shitting myself!

Im sure i have at least one A, umm some B's, C's and and i think i got a D in graphics..:S

RE: A2/AS/GCSE results 2006 by FrozenDaggers on 08-15-2006 at 03:06 PM

My prediction: I've failed everything. Except maybe art. lol

RE: A2/AS/GCSE results 2006 by Stigmata on 08-15-2006 at 03:47 PM

PE, English Language, English Literature, ICT GNVQ (Worst Subject EVAR!), RE, Maths, Double Award Science, Geography, Resistant Materials

B's and C's...

On holiday though..Wont get my results till like the 2nd September :S

RE: A2/AS/GCSE results 2006 by Max on 08-15-2006 at 03:51 PM

I'm scared about my results due to the fact I was lazy. I'll just have to do another year at Sixth Form I suppose. :(

RE: A2/AS/GCSE results 2006 by cloudhunter on 08-15-2006 at 05:34 PM

Awaiting results from my double award AVCE in ICT. It's either I pass it, or I don't go to university. On top of that, I failed it last year, and i'm pretty sure I am going to this year aswell.

So to sum up:

They're AS, so not that many, the number next to it is the marks I got for the exam.

That equals 210 UCAS points, I hope to get 350 when I finish next year.

Oh man, I really feel for you guys. I remember what I was going through this time last year.

Just remember, if you plan on going to uni, or getting A-Levels, then GCSEs usually aren't important.

GCSE Results Day by user27089 on 08-24-2006 at 01:42 AM

So, as Thursday 24th August approaches us, it's the GCSE results day :|.

I'm sure a million people in England are absolutely crapping themselves about their results, I know that I am :(.

I'm not even in England, so when I wake up at about 7am tomorrow, I have to run to a phone to phone up England to get my results =|. If I haven't got into Alcester Grammar then I'm screwed because I haven't applied anywhere else :(.

I've been predicted okay grades, and I don't think I've done too bad, but nonetheless I'm worried.

Everyone post there grades here if they want.

I know for a fact I've failed my ICT GNVQ course, I missed an entire course when I was ill and they said they'd send me the stuff so I could do it at home, they didn't.

RE: GCSE Results Day by Chrono on 08-24-2006 at 01:49 AM

They dont publish them on the internet? :|
England sucks :P

Good luck trax (Y)

RE: GCSE Results Day by user27089 on 08-24-2006 at 01:58 AM

It's illegal to publish them on the internet without my permission, we don't do that over in England.

RE: GCSE Results Day by aNILEator on 08-24-2006 at 02:09 AM

GCSE's mean shit, come to southend-on-sea college with me trax :D they got loads of cool courses, new one this year is games design being taught by the bloke who made lara croft :O

RE: A2/AS/GCSE results 2006 by cloudhunter on 08-24-2006 at 11:02 PM

Heh, At first the exam board messed up and said i'd got unclassified... Imagine how I felt.

Then my teachers saw that the results were wrong, and it was something to do with withelding certification. Exam board said they didn't, and teachers said they did.

Anyhow, now its all sorted out and I passed.

Uni here I come (H)
