You could have gone over the download limit or something, ous gets slower if we go over the cap..

when it happens its random, like internet freezes then works for 3 secs...

EDIT: Does anyone know a site that tells you your internet speed or something like that?

http://www.speedtest.net/ is also another very good site. Just check if the values you recieve are relatively close to the ones you are supposed to be getting. If they aren't, the problem is probably related to the status of your ISP.

Try whatever server is closest to you. In your case it would be Fort Worth, TX. Even though I live in Germany, I can get over 1930 Kbits from this server (Located in the USA) with a 2000 Kbit connection. One can clearly see that there is nothing wrong with my connection speed :).
