Ok can someone tell me what other buttons appear on WLM? My WLM shows the mail button, the shared folder button, the spaces button the color scheme button and the plus! button. What other buttons are there that don't appear in my WLM?

Why don't I have any of those two buttons?

maybe youve patched WLM
or used a skin that deleted them?

Have you used a patch (like Mess Patch or A-Patch) to remove them?

You can go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and 'repair' Messenger to see if that restores them.

I use Mess but I didn't tell it to remove them. They never appeard not even when I first installed WLM. I'm in portugal I don't know if that has anything to do with that.

They're not very important, I wuldn't worry about it.

You can make a phone call in any conversation and you could try to get Windows Live Today come up every time you sign in by going to Tools > Options > General > Tick 'Show Windows Live Today after signing into Messenger'

Ok but the fact that those buttons don't appear makes me wonder if I have all WLM available...

Maybe it's because your in Portugal? Not sure.

Well but if I can see the windows live today anyway and can make calls in the conversation windows I don't think it makes sence not having the buttons on the contact window. I think that some of the winks that come with WLM weren't installed I mean everyone I know has diferent winks. Does WLM aleatory chose what winks to install?

These two buttons aren't always there like the other ones (mail, sharing folder), they are there considering your country or the server status.
