I got a new mouse [LX5]. And for some odd reason everytime I turn on the mouse itself my cursor retreats to the right side of the screen and I am unable to get it away unless I unplug the mouse from USB port. I installed the CD, I turned off my computer and turned it on, I reinstalled it.

And I am using a laptop, could that be the reason?

You try a different USB port? Does the mouse move at all when you try to get it out of the corner?

uninstalling the driver, reboot, install again...

Laser mouses can sometimes be faulty and can act strange.

And when it clings to the right side of my monitor I am unable to move. Well I can move it up and down. And when I attempt to move it with my mouse pad it still won't go anywhere. When I right click though with my mouse a drop down will appear.
