I'm no computer expert, so I'm not liable for whatever happens to you or anything else whatsoever, including if this message blinds your eyes. RE: moniter help.. by Chestah on 09-12-2006 at 11:03 AM

RE: moniter help.. by Underlord on 09-12-2006 at 11:29 AM You would need a tuner and/or an RGB converter or a HD tuner with an RGB output, either way I don't see this as effective. RE: moniter help.. by Vilkku on 09-12-2006 at 12:15 PM Some monitors have a build-in TV tuner, that you can use as a TV. RE: moniter help.. by Underlord on 09-12-2006 at 12:44 PM

RE: moniter help.. by Pyro on 09-12-2006 at 10:58 PM i meant like the yellow RCA input lol. and i have heaps lying around.. and i wouldnt ruin it lol i would get a male plug and wire that up so i just plug the cable into it. so theres no way to do that without a computer? damn. You can get external TV tuners, but they are likely expensive. I remember as a kid, our TV was an old Acorn monitor with an amstrad TV tuner underneath it RE: moniter help.. by rav0 on 09-13-2006 at 09:43 AM VHS VCRs usually have tuners built-in, you could get one of those. but i just want to run somthing like a ps2 straight into a spare moniter with no computers needed.. isnt that possable? RE: RE: moniter help.. by rav0 on 09-16-2006 at 11:42 AM
quote:Usually not, but a VCR in the middle usually will do conversion for you (no computer needed, but you will have to spend a bit). Some TVs/monitors have heaps of I/O ports, some have only analog RF in, most are somewhere in between. RE: moniter help.. by Pyro on 09-17-2006 at 05:38 AM so i cant wire it onto the plug? RE: RE: moniter help.. by rav0 on 09-17-2006 at 08:54 AM
quote:Not easily. I'll assume that your monitor has RGB input only, and that your PS2 has composite video output only, they can't be hotwired together. RE: moniter help.. by ryxdp on 09-21-2006 at 06:04 AM
get a professional in to wire it, if you're REALLY that desperate... RE: RE: moniter help.. by rav0 on 09-21-2006 at 07:14 AM

You can however buy adapters for a PS2, along with required software. Look for something by "Blaze", not sure of it's name. |
