IE problems with .png - Printable Version

when i use firefox for the forums i have no problem with my av&sig and the transparent background. but atm i use IE and the bg of av&sig is grey? why?

IE6 doesn't support alpha transparent PNGs without tricks on the website itself.  IE7 does, so you could upgrade... or go back to Firefox. :P

Its because internet explorer 6 doesn't support transparency.

You all gave answers at the same time :P

The trick to solving this problem is using transparents gifs, although they do not tend to work well with shadows :)

i have firefox but i just wanted to know. using IE7 wont work... i have that little problem with the genuine thingy ;)

But it doesn't let you download if it isn't genuine, doesn't it? i had to get genuine for IE7..

And those tricks will only work with IE6, on Windows, with DirectX.
And, IIRC from when I used that trick one time, it messes up how you can interact with the page.
