News Management System by Salem on 09-20-2006 at 03:28 PM

Hiya

Does anyone know of a News/Blog system i can use on a PHP/MySQL enabled website? I've been using CuteNews, but wanna use one which makes use of a MySQL database for the data storage. I'm aware of WordPress, and have given it a try, however, i want to be able to integrate the blog/news system with my site as it currently stands and was unable to do this with WordPress.

Could you guys please give me some ideas, or if someone will be able to help me get WordPress integrated with my site, that'd also help.

Thanks in advance

Try something like PHPNuke, that's a type of PHP Portal that uses MySQL (I think).

Thanks Felu

PHPNews, does support a MySQL database

will give it a try.

EDIT: Just tried it. Is not bad, altough the options it has aren't as good as my current tool (CuteNews), so not sure if i'll move to PHPNews.

Any other idea's guys?

Can you give us a link to your current site? It'd be easier to find you something if we knew what we were dealing with :)

For a bunch of stuff to try out, I'd recommend OpenSourceCMS for a review of most major CMS software atm. :)
