Windows Messenger is a much lighter version of MSN Messenger that comes with Windows XP computers (and Windows 2000 I think). It is used for conferences etc. rather than general use, it is used by more professional people who need something quick and light to make a conference call or discuss something with somebody quickly. RE: WM/MSN and Yahoo Messenger by bradfrank on 09-22-2006 at 07:53 AM thanks traxor! i like this part 'it is used by more professional people who need something quick and light to make a conference call ' i'm currently using Yahoo Messenger for now and thinking of using Windows Messenger. i'm using XP so that's great! Is it limited to XP and 2000? They never had a problem with it, and it seems to be a good choice. RE: WM/MSN and Yahoo Messenger by user27089 on 09-22-2006 at 12:59 PM
quote: It is installed by default, but not limited to, windows xp and windows 2000. You can use it on anything Windows 9x + if i remember correctly. quote: They are both secure as far as I know, it's mostly down to personal preference. RE: WM/MSN and Yahoo Messenger by bradfrank on 09-25-2006 at 02:52 AM great! that is really cool! 'it's mostly down to personal preference' what are these personal preferences? like the stealth?
