quote:19" i advise RE: CRT or LCD by WDZ on 09-25-2006 at 02:53 PM I currently have a CRT and it's great. However, I want to get an LCD because it would take up less space, weigh less, and look cooler. RE: RE: CRT or LCD by Vilkku on 09-25-2006 at 03:53 PM

RE: CRT or LCD by Nathan on 09-25-2006 at 06:33 PM I like the "auto" function on my 19" screen (lcd) it aligns it resizes it, changes the colour to the brighteness etc it rocks! RE: CRT or LCD by Voldemort on 09-25-2006 at 07:03 PM i have two 17'' lcd and they rock... plus the laptop screen if you count it. RE: CRT or LCD by Chris4 on 09-25-2006 at 07:48 PM LCD, definitely. RE: CRT or LCD by DarkMe on 09-25-2006 at 07:51 PM
Im using and CRT cuz my LCD its focked up RE: CRT or LCD by ShawnZ on 09-25-2006 at 09:13 PM CRTs are simply better than LCDs in every way except space. They have better contrast ratios, more dots per inch, can produce more colours more vividly, etc. If you have the space to spare, get a CRT for sure. RE: CRT or LCD by user27089 on 09-25-2006 at 10:07 PM I like CRT monitors a lot, but I have to buy a LCD monitor, but it's okay cause they look pretty cool . quote:Meh, I searched Google for 'CRT' and 'LCD' ... RE: CRT or LCD by lrac522 on 09-26-2006 at 03:47 AM I prefer LCD but can someone explain why 3D Glasses are not compatible with the LCD? RE: CRT or LCD by ShawnZ on 09-26-2006 at 03:51 AM
quote: ...because they're LCDs? lol, they have shit colour and contrast ratios -- nothing looks correct on an LCD. CRTs are the standard for image testing. RE: CRT or LCD by Vilkku on 09-26-2006 at 04:45 AM Has anyone had any experience with widescreen LCDs? I was thinking of getting a widescreen 19" instead of two 19"/17", mostly because it would look better playing games (read: play WoW [which has multi-monitor support, but if I want to game in them both I have to have my character in the middle, where the two screens switch]). quote:I use a widescreen LCD on my laptop. I find it quite good though I did have some problems with some full screen apps until I found an option to keep the same aspect ratio through my graphics card. My screen is the highest resolution screen I have come across (which is really good or only a 17" widescreen), from what I found you really have to go for a quality brand with any LCD and it will be extremely clear. I'm much happier with my LCD than any CRT that I have come across. RE: CRT or LCD by zach on 09-26-2006 at 07:29 AM I have a 17' AOC LCD but I'd also like a decent CRT because... quote:LCDs are also better for energy consumption, less eye strain, last longer, less heat output and no electromagnetic radiation. RE: CRT or LCD by rav0 on 09-26-2006 at 10:05 AM
quote:I have an LCD (main consideration of size), but I definately know that a CRT gives the best picture in every respect. I would never buy an LCD TV, because I don't need it to fit on my desk, so I might as well get a better (and cheaper) CRT. |
