I'm damn near going crazy over here.

I am unable to connect with WLM (the infamous 81000306 error).

  • There is no firewall problem
    There is no router config problem
    I can connect with Miranda IM, Web Messenger and Windows Messenger. I cannot connect with WLM.
    I have downloaded the latest version of WLM and installed from scratch.
    There are no patches/mods/addons (not even Plus Live at the moment)

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

I tried all that before posting. I've also tried all of this on a second computer, and I have the exact same results.

I've come accross this problem a few times.. I think it's related to your account not necassarily your WLM. When it happened to me/and friends it seems to work again the next day or sometimes not for weeks :^)

Try to sign-in with another account and see if it works..

That happened when i installed an antivirus.
