emoticons stopped appearing by macher on 10-13-2006 at 07:30 PM
All of a sudden 2 days ago my emoticons stopped appearing and instead their keyboard shortcuts were being displayed al the time. i have
Windows Live Messenger
Version 8.0 Build (8.0.0812.00)
MsgPlus
Version 4.0.1.0.240 Released 07/16/2006
any help would be greatly appreciated

Go to Tools > Options > Messages and make sure "Show emoticons" and "Show custom emoticons" are checked.
Note that for a Yahoo contact, custom emoticons are never displayed.

i never disabled that, i dont know how it happened but thanks neways
