I can’t understand why my windows media player 10 of late starts to play video files with faults. All video would play in a freeze mode while you would still hear sound, I know my video memory is not vast but I use to get excellent service from the 32mb. It would work fine when I just start the system but starts acting up after awhile. What could be the cause? Cheers.[Image: msn_cry.old.gif]

What about other player software? Have you tried turning off overlay?

Could it possibly be an overheating issue? Also, if a PCB is damaged, sometimes the temperature affects whether t will work or not (expansion/contraction).

OMG! I was wondering if this would have been the problem, I'm in Jamaica at the moment and it's so damn hot, my laptop keeps shutting off because of overheating. Other software are just the same. What is the PCB anyway? This is great help.(Y)

A PCB is a printed circuit board. Usually they're green with shiny lines on them that are the curcuits, but computer component circuit boards are not always green, lots of graphics cards are red or blue, I have a brown-gold motherboard. It's unlikely that the PCB is damaged but is working intermittently though. The actual GPU or RAM overheating is possibly though.
