I have been running the beta versions of IE7 for a while now, but have only just upgraded to the "real" version. However, I have been having some strange problems. RE: Strange IE7 Problem by Kenji on 10-31-2006 at 09:46 PM You could try doing a fresh install of IE, go back to the beta or you could use firefox RE: Strange IE7 Problem by Nagamasa on 10-31-2006 at 10:36 PM Does it work fine when you put a junk webpage in front of the one you want 1st? RE: Strange IE7 Problem by RaceProUK on 10-31-2006 at 11:01 PM Do you just navigate away from the 'Customize Settings' page, or actually gothrough it and do what it says? If the former, try the latter. RE: Strange IE7 Problem by lordy on 10-31-2006 at 11:03 PM

Thanks for the help. I have managed now to reinstall it. The main problem was that, because I had the beta installed, the uninstaller deleted normaliz.dll and iertutil.dll. Having found and replaced those to get explorer.exe working, the installer worked perfectly. quote: True, but links from Micro$oft programs still tend to open in IE. Thanks Robert |
