Problem installing scripts by Okay on 10-28-2006 at 05:21 PM

Hello,

I tried to download a script of the main website to use for Windows Live. I downloaded a script a while back and it worked, I had a few. Then I got rid of them due to system restoring my PC, I never got the chance to download another again. So tonight I go to download one and I get this message when I try to inport it, I've tryed just opening the file instead of saving and I've tried inporting from Windows Live, it does not work.  It gives me this message (see attatched screenshot)

If anyone could please help me with this problem it would be appriecated so much.

Thanks,

- Danny :)

Try this.

Save it>Messenger Plus! Live Preferences>General>Scripts>Import>Select the script>Accept

Thanks for the quick reply and help.

Yeah I've done that it still gives the same message, I've had no problem with this before. I wonder if I should install Messenger Plus live again as there maybe a fault with that.

Exit WLM, then go to "Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live\" and check if there is a folder named "Scripts" in there. If not, create it.

Sorry for the late reply.

I went into my progam files and there was no folder called Scripts.
But there was a file called script, sorry if I seem a little dumb lol. I'm only 14, I attached screenshot of the folder :)

Thanks.

Yes, as far as I can see, the scripts folder is missing.

First, exit Windows Live Messenger if it's running.
Now create a new folder called 'Scripts' in in the 'Messenger Plus! Live' folder, and you should be able to import scripts again.

(just In case you don't know how to create a new folder: On the Menu bar select File > New > Folder )
