Problems with the script+ Speech by Rui on 10-29-2006 at 04:45 PM

Hello everybody,

I installed the script + Speech in my Messenger. All the times when I start the Windows Live appears a message box that says: An error occured while initializing Speech Recogntion, please make sure you have Microsoft Speech 5.1 installed. . Well, I have searched the Microsoft Speech in my PC, but I didn't found. And the most strange of all is that after I click on the OK button it works normally, informing who signs in and who signs out. What can be happening?

Thanks to all.

Well you can download Microsoft Speech 5.1 to see if it makes any difference?

But which of these files I really need to install on my computer to make the + Speech work without problem? I think that 288MB it's a number of megabytes too much big...

I would say it's a bug but the code simply initializes the object as any other program would...

I got this error too when I tried, however, I have speech recognition working in other applications.

Also, the script does not differentiate between errors---if it finds an error it tells you that you may need to install it, even if the error is unrelated..
