I had this problem since WLM came out, with or without Plus!, and on many computers. I don't even know what its called so i didn't know what to search for. Everytime i sign in, i get like 8 toasts of contacts that are online, if i have like 30 people online. And no, im not signing in at the same time. This slows down my computer and some times freezes it. Why does this happen? It says contacts sign in, and they were already online before i sign in. CAn i disable this?

This kind of happens to me as well. When I sign in, I get 8 toasts with contacts that are already online.
Not sure what causes it.

I know it's not actually solving the problem, but a cosmetic fix would be if somebody created a script which simply blocked Contact Sign In toasts for 5 or so seconds after sign in...

This happens occasionally for me, if WLM freezes when signing in (for whatever reason, usually a script's fault) then the toasts pop up.
maybe try looking through your scripts for one causing a problem?

This happened for me, i disable it by going to tool - options - alerts and sounds and unticking the alert me when a contact comes online,the only way around at the moment

Yeah... This problem has happened to me since 7.5... Never got so slow it froze my computer though... just took a bit longer.

This happens to me too, if I sign in using a slow computer.
If I sign in using my laptop, the right part of the screen fills with toasts, and WLM freezes for 2-3 which means that I have to wait for 2-3 to actually start using WLM.
If I sign in using a fast computer, I can use WLM instantly, without needing to wait.
So, you see, it depends on your computer speed if you will see toasts when you sign in or not.
