I blocked a few people from my windows messenger live but everytime I sign up they want me to add them I don't want to have to keep saying block block everytime. Is there a fix?

Hmmm....I've blocked a few people, but it hasnt said anything about them.

What version are you guys using?

I think he means re-blocking them.

As for your problems, I believe this is an 8.1 bug.

EDIT: I found this on the Connect Feedback site. I would not recommend this as a permanent fix but here:

when someone adds you, you can say block/let them contact you. i get the same message for 2 people about 3 times a day. I should just be able to click block once and not worry about it anymore ;<
