i installed IE7 a few hours ago, but i noticed that a lot of websites did not turn out right - how they are supposed to appear...so i decided to uninstall it and change back to IE6...i did so successfully, but now everytime i type in a URL in IE6, it opens up a new tab in Firefox and opens the web page there...even if i click on the Homepage in IE6, it does the same thing...what happened? does anyone know how to fix this? RE: Internet Explorer/Firefos problem... by MicroWay on 11-26-2006 at 11:40 PM Have you tried to set the defaut "explorer" on the "Define Acess and Standart Programs" opition (I don't know if its correct writed as I translated to english...)??? RE: Internet Explorer/Firefos problem... by aunwit on 11-26-2006 at 11:59 PM if by that, you mean tick the "Internet Explorer Should Check to see whether it is the default browser"...then yeah, i've checked it...but doesnt ask... RE: Internet Explorer/Firefos problem... by lrac522 on 11-27-2006 at 12:24 AM Just do a system restore and it should be back the way it was. Try resetting the IE settings. I think it is in the advanced tab (Tools > Internet Options). |
