[release] anti-spam - Printable Version

I wrote a script that counteracts 3 kinds off messenger spam:

1. People nudging you while they are offline
(it sends a message not to do that any more and blocks them for a while)

2. People adding you to huge groupconvo's
(it sends a message not to do that any more and closes the convo)

3. People sending you too much messages
(it sends a message not to do that any more and blocks them so they can't send anymore messages)

4. People sending you too much nudges
(it sends a message not to do that any more and blocks them so they can't send anymore nudges)

5. People signing in too often
(it sends a message not to do that any more and blocks them so the signin spam won't bother you)

This is the beta version so you might encounter some bugs..
If so please inform me so I can fix them...

Doesn't it just kick YOU? I don't think it destorys the whole convo (everybody else can carry on talking as if you'd just left the convo)

Nice script though... I keep getting spammed ¬_¬ I block people (and then usuall delete)

EDIT: You're using the ".pif" command so yes it does...

Add block limits, so if they spam you it blocks them for 10 mins

Lots of errors and possible errors in that script.

For starters, you don't take in account that a user can sign out and another user can sign in.

Also in my Nudge Flood Protection script I use like almost 10 nested checks for very important reasons, I don't see how you could have reduced that to, well, almost none.

I cant remove this script, it just says Xniff.ocx is in use 8-) when i dont have Wlm open...

foaly nice script. But you know. There's a way that if you write a message with the max characters that are allowed like 2 or 3 times, msn will freeze and if they keep doing it 2 or more 3 times, it will crash.

So could you add a feature like: maximum characters in X seconds.?

Because if someone sends me like 2 or 3 messages with:

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Hey, I was planning to include that feature... But because off a lot off bugs that still need fixing, I'm afraid that that option won't be implemented soon...

I think you should add customization to the messages ex maybe to respond in a different language.

you can use the config-window in the script menu for that...
