[solved] Keyboard hyperlinks help by Oxy on 12-25-2006 at 10:07 PM
Right, so i got a new wireless keyboard and mouse for x-mas, and theres hyperlinks on there (like a refresh button, a play button, email ect...) and none of them work with the software i use. Only the volume control does. :/
Is there anyway of making it work with itunes and Mozilla firefox?
*note* this didnt come with a driver
Thanks.

At least for my keyboard, the driver software can change the button settings.

It's probably customizable in the program that the driver installs.....

Nope, i tried it and nothing happened. Im now even more convinced that its used for installation..
EDIT: Fixed. I did a complete Un-install, and then re-installed with the driver, and now everythings working. Thanks everyone who helped.

Note: What those extra buttons do has actually not much to do with drivers. It might help as in: those drivers provide an extra userfriendly way to configure them. But actually those buttons can be configured by just altering some Windows registry settings, no drivers are needed for that at all.
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AppKey
Tweaker programs like TweakUI for example will let you define what those extra buttons actually do too (as it is in fact nothing more than a registry setting).
The reason why re-installing the driver might have worked is because the first time the driver wasn't installed properly and thus also not those registry changes, whereas the second time you installed the driver, the registry settings were altered.

Hi,I have the same keyboard/mouse combo as yours. Two things are wrong, these are:
1. The battery indicator on the keyboard does not light up.
2. If I place the mouse on the charging stand,I have to press the connect buttons on the mouse and stand before I can use the mouse. This is very annoying. Mine "did" come with the driver disk, which I have installed. Any ideas? I have been to the agk website, but there is no troubleshooting guide.

Clicking should also re-activate the mouse. the mouse goes on standby to save battery power. Also i'd check the batteries if i were you.
