missing MsgPlus! features. no format panel by peace_maker on 12-28-2006 at 08:00 PM

well i had the old msgplus in msn messenger 7.5, now i have windows live messenger, ive downloaded the new msgplus live version.
but the problem is that it doesnt have a format panel in messenger options. and im so sad about it!! why doesnt it work?
would appreciate help, thx :)

It should be there...
Un-install plus!, go to C:/program files/ and find the messenger plus! folder, and delete, and then re-install.

Uninstall msn messenger 7.5, WLM and plus! delete them and install WLM and Plus!

Make sure the following is ticked:

For the button next to Display name in Messenger Options

Incase you mean the colourpanel (and other Plus! buttons) in the toolbar in a conversation

If all other functions work, there is really no need to reinstall anything. Don't suggest reinstalling each time when it really isn't needed.

Reinstalling isn't the magic suggestion to fix everything. In fact, it rarely fixes something since most things are either options which aren't ticked correctly (like now), or things which aren't correctly in the registry or whatever.

Reinstalling will only 'do something' when there are corrupt files involved for example (which is very very rarely the case).
