What script is it? by hotshotartist on 12-30-2006 at 04:09 PM Ok i was on msn last week when a contact told me they would take control of my msn, they obviously used a script, i could not view any chat windows after this, i closed msn and after trying to sign in it said the username or password are not correct, so i switched from windows vista to windows xp and still the same, so i uninstalled Messenger Plus and got straight back on msn, i cannot find any such script on here they could of used. Never ever install scripts if you do not know what they do. Only install scripts from trusted sources (eg: the script database). This is just the same as with programs, you don't go installing programs send to you by random people either. RE: How? What script is it? by hotshotartist on 12-30-2006 at 04:29 PM
I know about internet safety, i do programming after all, and i had not installed anything, no scripts were added to my Messenger Plus, all i can see from the chat log is that after i could no longer see i got rows of RE: How? What script is it? by CookieRevised on 12-30-2006 at 05:38 PM
Then you are requesting/reporting it totally wrong. RE: How? What script is it? by Oxy on 12-30-2006 at 06:50 PM
quote:Well, that's been copied and pasted. ![]() Have you tried re-installing Plus! and trying it again? It might work this time. RE: How? What script is it? by hotshotartist on 12-30-2006 at 06:52 PM

I fail to see how this has anything to do with Plus!. Reinstalling Plus! would not have fixed an incorrect username/password notification, it must be a coincidence. RE: How? What script is it? by CookieRevised on 12-30-2006 at 08:27 PM
It may have froozen Plus! because of things like the quote sender which RE: How? What script is it? by Dr4g0n on 12-30-2006 at 08:29 PM
The only way I can think of is that he tried to sign into your account with a fake password and therefore locking it because of too many incorrect attempts. Having done that he knocked you offline with the RE: How? What script is it? by hotshotartist on 12-30-2006 at 09:15 PM Well it managed to lag both mine and my friends msn and i phoned him and asked if his had gone he confirmed it, i logged out of vista and into xp which is on a different hard drive and was still unable to sogn in on the affected account, so i tired other accounts and they logged in, so whilst he removed Messenger Plus i created a new user account and still had the same problem of not signing in, he was by this time back on as he had removed Messenger Plus and re-downloaded it, so i removed it from the new account i made and it signed in, so i went bk to the normal account, that still had plus installed and it was fine also, so i logged back into vista and that was also fine, though this person claimed to have unblocked the accounts, i fail to see how, considering i was a third party to the conversation for like 2 minutes .... very strange indeed. This sounds even more that it had nothing todo with Plus! though, RE: How? What script is it? by hotshotartist on 12-30-2006 at 10:34 PM Yes got it now .... nothing to do with plus, mod delete or lock it please. Thanks for the help guys, do not know why i was looking so technically at it lol. RE: How? What script is it? by MattyRid on 12-30-2006 at 11:54 PM So is your account working again? If not, try logging into hotmail and see if it helps. If that doesn't help definitely contact Microsoft on the issue. RE: How? What script is it? by ryxdp on 12-31-2006 at 04:07 AM
IMO, I might suggest reporting that person to some sort of crimestopper thing. If he locked yours and your friend's accounts, he may have done it to hundreds -if not tens- of other people as well. |
