But I find it quite plain on both the contacts list window and conversation window.

Personally I prefer it to WLM's filled with unuseful stuff
anyways, there isn't a msgplus! for yahoo!, so I'll stick to WLM.

I like the looks of that. I do think as well that that the lighter look is nice compared to WLM, but when I think about it, there is not *that* much difference in WLM. Remove the search bar, tabs and some of the icons and you get a pretty light looking messenger. Hopefully you can at some point choose which icons you want to see on the main window and message window, which would leave the "unwanted" features accessible from the menu.

i kinda like the idea, of the design of it,, i think WLM needs to improve, IMO has to many useless shit in it, , im sure in time someone will make yahoo messenger Plus like Msgpluslive for yahoo Messenger 4 vista,

That's sweet design. Simple I think it is. I'd love to have such a messenger in WLM, as HSV said, get rid of the things that are useless.

does look good eh, shame MS cant take advantagee of web2.0 or other technologies, IMO Yahoo Messenger for Vista makes WLM look lame

Who's to say that Microsoft wont make a new version of WLM for Vista? Or that they don't have one in the pipeline?
