Okay, so i'm planning on getting vista, what i want to know is, would it be best to get 64bit, or 32bit? RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by kao on 01-17-2007 at 06:20 PM I'd go 64 Bit but if a few things don't work right, switch before you have it going too long =p RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by wj on 01-17-2007 at 06:22 PM
Are you using more then 4 GB of ram? RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by Ezra on 01-17-2007 at 06:23 PM
IIRC all 32 bit software should work without problems because 64 bits cpu's also accept 32 bit code. RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by vaccination on 01-17-2007 at 06:30 PM

well i've been running 64bit vista RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by WDZ on 01-17-2007 at 06:35 PM

I'm configuring my new PC as we speak ... RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by vaccination on 01-17-2007 at 06:55 PM Okay, thanks Menthix, any idea's which programs have errors with 64bit? RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by Ezra on 01-17-2007 at 07:37 PM

yes it is (hopefully) RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by RaceProUK on 01-19-2007 at 10:24 PM
quote:Everything in the Vista 64-bit version is in the 32-bit version. MS didn't add anything that wouldn't run on both versions. Also, according to GRC.com, the 64-bit kernel is more secure, due to higher intrinsic levels of protection. Personally, I'd install the 64-bit version, if only to avoid reinstalling Vista in the future. RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by joey on 01-20-2007 at 12:19 PM i think i heard that there's a limited amount of printers that support 64-bit versions of XP and Vista so id stick with 32-bit if your printer's not compatible. but on the other hand, vista 64-bit is {apparently} more secure and reliable. its a tough choice because you don't want to buy a new printer if it's not going to work with your computer do you? RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by John Anderton on 01-20-2007 at 12:20 PM My suggestion would be 32bit RE: Vista, 64bit, or 32? by joey on 01-25-2007 at 10:22 AM
