Hello,

Windows Vista is now officially out which means that there is no more reason for not making sure Messenger Plus! Live runs perfectly with this new operating system. Rest assured though, the necessary steps were already taken last year to make sure Messenger Plus! would run smoothly in Vista when it comes out. Nothing annoys me more than to see my favourite programs perform miserably each time a new version of Windows comes out (which, unfortunately, still happen way too often). That being said, I was waiting for the final version to be out before I start working on the last details which I have being doing for the past week.

If everything goes as planned, Messenger Plus! Live 4.20 will be out by the end of the month. The new version will also include the winning scripts of the last contest so that all of you can enjoy these fine creations. A private beta testing period will also be set-up, as usual (no need to send requests, the beta testers have already been chosen, sorry).

On a side note, I’m still amazed when I look at the current stats of the software. I won’t bore you with that now but let’s say that the popularity of Messenger Plus! is still increasing like never before! So, everyone, watch out for the next update! :)

Excellent, it's nice to see you taking an interest in making sure that your software runs on as many systems as possible.

PS: entertain me with the current stats of the software, they'd be interesting to see.

As I said, I don't have Vista in this computer. However, I've Vista in the main computer (the one every in my house uses to print and stuff) and I've been using Plus! there. (Y)

Perhaps he did it on Photoshop in his own font or something :P (Sort of like what I do). Though if I actually do it, it would probably hurt, because of the great amount of scripts submitted. Sticking the postage stamps, flipping the card over, must sure be a hassle!

Current version works fine under Vista Ultimate for me :).
You could make the buttons smoother all the time (just happens some times), becasue it looks so nice!

Edit: Oh, I forgot the thumbnail stuff :)

Didn't know it was possible to increase the rate of growth past its current rate. I wonder what compiler Pitcho uses cause its would certainly surpass simple integer values in good 'ol C ;)

Anyway, good to hear we'll have an update. I'm already on vista so yay :cheesy:

Just as a side note, I couldn't find any problem under Vista Ultimate x64 either, Plus! works just perfectly here :)
Edit: Oops, apart from that little script installing problem, which I guess it rather related to the browser than Plus! itself.

Actually its already compatible :) It works fine with Vista. There are a few minor things like the chat window thumbnail not being show in Flip3D when Tabbed Chats are enabled :)

currently only betatesters have access to the change log of bug fixes. Maybe when the final version of Plus 4.20 is released, the complete historial will be public, but not for now, sorry :)

Just incase you want to know the exact time till march starts in your time zone. But Patchy almost always means time in Patchyland (what I like to call PST - Patchou Standard Time) and it also means he could release it early in the morning on the 1st of march because that is what Patch does.
Only exception I can remember was the release of MP!L 4.00 which was set to time in GMT for a very special reason ;) (Patch is a genius btw :P)
