i've opened this thread because there are loads of suggestions for the next release but they're all scattered... RE: New features you'd like to see by color680 on 03-01-2007 at 07:21 PM I would like to password protect some contacts so if i want to chatt i have to enter a password (script would be nice) RE: New features you'd like to see by Oxy on 03-01-2007 at 07:25 PM
TBH, you're better off just posting one thread with each request you have. Patchou may not have time to look through an entire thread. RE: New features you'd like to see by CookieRevised on 03-01-2007 at 07:32 PM
quote:Plus! has no control of how Messenger arranges the contacts. It is not Plus! which makes or sorts the contactlist, that is totally done by Messenger itself. quote:Both features are something totally different. It would be like jumping from A to Z, and thus skipping all the letters in between.... In other words, it is not surprising it isn't added though... quote:I can't speak for Patchou, but I strongly suspect this will not be in the next release, nor in any release following in the next months... quote:As you already suggested, this can be perfectly done with a script. However, something like this will not be secure at all (script or not). All it takes is not running Plus! to be able to chat with those 'protected' contacts. Also, why would you wanna password protect your own contacts on your own account which only you can access in the first place (as you already need a password to log in to Messenger)? RE: New features you'd like to see by color680 on 03-01-2007 at 07:56 PM So it cant be done? RE: New features you'd like to see by Vilkku on 03-01-2007 at 08:01 PM
quote:He just said it can, and that is simple and that it is doable by any script programmer, but that it won't work very well... |
