The eclipse began at 2018 GMT, with the Moon totally immersed in the shadow of the Earth between 2244 and 2358 GMT.

See the moon graph above the earth's graph. They refer to the moon's  location on the Ecliptic plane. P refers to prenumbral eclipse while U refers to umbral eclipse. Basically, take your location... If you are between U2 and U3 for example, these are the stages you'll see best. Those in europe and in africa are between P1-P4, meaning they will see all stages of the elipse.

(This is a very dummied version of the full blown explanation, but I won't go into physics).
RE: Eclipse tonight by Vazza on 03-03-2007 at 11:23 PM

Well, for once it's been clear here in Scotland (the last time it happened it was cloudy). I've just spent the last hour and a half hanging out my bedroom window in order to see it. Now I'm frozen but I'm happy that I managed to stay the course till I saw it in totality :) Now I can go die happy :)

RE: Eclipse tonight by Nathan on 03-04-2007 at 12:08 AM

RE: Eclipse tonight by Vimto on 03-04-2007 at 12:53 AM

The moon I saw from here was almost completely covered. It looked so amazing.

RE: Eclipse tonight by NanaFreak on 03-04-2007 at 12:55 AM

RE: Eclipse tonight by WDZ on 03-04-2007 at 01:18 AM

Oh, it's over already? Damn, I thought it was later. ¬¬

RE: Eclipse tonight by Vimto on 03-04-2007 at 01:19 AM

I remember the full eclipse in the day time years ago. It was so weird. Everything went silent for just a moment, their was like no sound at all, no animals no wind. It was amazing.
