Dunno then, maybe the virustotal is using another version of kaspersky

Help, im infected with this! My anti virus hasn't picked it up but i know its there because every few minutes, while im on the interent, the firefox search bit at the bottom comes up and it automatically types in holy shit, have a look at this!!!!!! www.windowslivemessenger.biz/msn/msn.php?s=S&id=7519&profile=$msnaddy which is the website of the virus

@ibisdevil2 - your log appears ok for me. If you still recieve any alerts by your antivirus, that's because maybe if you have the System Restore active, you have to disable it so the virus could be deleted completelly.

Yup, and i read that thread and its talking about a complete different virus as when i try and end the sxshost.exe or whatever, it says there is no such process

Terminate Process(svchost)---->you have been sure that you kill thw right process see the image to understand

If you do everythings correctly then the virus will be deleted



if you can't do it then we'll try to delete it manually

Delete the one that's under User Name "The Todds" because that's your username right? The one that says svcshost.exe. After run the script that TheGuruSpremacy provided. It really does work
Make sure you have msnPlus! though, if you don't have it you can go download.

Please Boy Don't ask us to check if the virus have been deleted or not posting your hjiackthis log...You can check it by yourself...After yuo have followed my instructions the virus should be deleted....to check if it happened or not..you can do two things:

you can restart your pc....if nothing happens the virus have been deleted

or

you can do as Jimbodude said a second scan with hjiackthis and save a log...then with notepad search(CTRL+F) for "svchost.exe"
if you find any file which is not in system32 folder yuo have still the virus
example:
if you find
C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe ------>it's ok...you don't have the virus
but if you find 
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ylkifua8\svchost.exe ---->you have the virus

like every 3-5mins i surf the web i get random pop-ups e.g surveys or get free ringtones and its very annoyin plz can u help stop these or block them?

If you go to add/remove programs, it will tell you if you have the sponser installed. you can un-install the sponser without un-installing plus! live.

I got an msn virus on my computer that sends a message to all my contacts. It says something like "Yo, your ass on photo" then it gives them a link. I tried uninstalling live messenger but it didnt work. heres a hijackthis scan i did..could someone let me no what the virus is and what i can do to get rid of it...thanks a lot!
