Why use msn spaces when we have Blogger. I think an rss can be implemented so that when some one opens the menu, it reads the rss feed from that blog. Also we can be notified of new posts by checking the ping from weblogs.com
Tell me holly Patchou, is this possible?

Messenger already has a Tab for rss feeds.
Enable tabs by going to:
Contact List > Tools > Options > Tabs > untick "Hide Tabs"
